Daviess County, Kentucky: On August 17, 2023, at approximately 1215 PM, detectives with the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office and Patrol Division deputies stopped Gavin Patrick Santiago-Ewers in the 4800 block of Frederica Street in Owensboro. Santiago-Ewers had been seen earlier that morning driving on a DUI Suspended Operator’s License but was unable to be stopped at that time due to heavy morning traffic flow. At 1215 PM Santiago-Ewers was again observed driving in the 4800 block of Frederica Street and was stopped. The traffic stop resulted in a search of the vehicle and several individual baggies of marijuana were found in the front passenger seat. Also, located was drug paraphernalia, cash, ammunition, and empty cannabis packets. Santiago-Ewers was arrested and lodged in the Daviess County Detention Center.
